PLATINUM Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Quality Hallmark Award
We have been re-accredited with the PLATINUM Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Quality Hallmark Award. This is for delivery of end of life care. We have held GSF accreditation since 2014. It is not an easy accreditation to obtain as the standards are incredibly high. Only top nursing homes in the country receive the award for their outstanding care. It is a huge credit to all of our dedicated and hardworking team.
Amazingly, we scored full marks, 60 out of 60, in the GSF grading. Consequently, we have now been nominated for The Gold Standards Framework Care home of the Year 2022. This is a tremendous achievement!
Community collaborations
We are enjoying The Courtyard Hereford exercise and movement sessions for care homes in the run up to the Jubilee. Ruth from The Wye Knot Forest School visited to help residents make streamers: Whittling sticks and attaching long streamers for a music and dance session. For another session, Rosie from The Wye Knot Forest School showed us how to drill a hole in discs of wood which we then decorated with wooden hearts and stars. We used natural glue and then chose our favourite tree and garden wild birds. Most of our residents had never used a hand drill, let alone such an antique model.

Award winning gardening….
