We have a Heritage group initiative to celebrate the outdoors and give residents access to fresh air and nature as much as possible. Everything from gardening club, to entertainment in the garden, to eating al fresco or simply taking a moment on a bench with a companion.
And, we called in back up to help beat the heat - thanks to Scott's Whippy there were 99's all round! Nothing like the chimes of an ice cream van to bring back summertime memories for our residents.

We often have the students of Kidderminster College with us. It was wonderful to have Jess for work experience. She was super helpful and we wish her every success in her studies. Our lovely Anne also recently enjoyed an amazing pamper morning with Lilly from Kidderminster College, who painted her nails a summery pink.
We said goodbye to Sam this month. She has been an essential part of our team for over 15 years and has bought smiles and sunshine with her throughout. She will be missed by everyone at Summerdyne and we wish her all the best in her next chapter.

Pimp my Zimmer!
Did you know, falls are prevented by engaging residents with their Zimmer frame through personalisation? So, we entered the annual West Midlands Care Association "Pimp my Zimmer" competition! Here are a couple of our entries. Such great fun for everyone that got involved and a massive thank you to our named carers for getting stuck in.
