"From the initial enquiry as to a vacancy for end of life care for mum, giving advice and guidance how to achieve the care, to in fact mum being made to feel comfy and welcome all of this only taking a few days. The staff were attentive to both mums needs and meeting expectations of the family, they quickly became familiar with her needs that were ever changing. The staff kept family up to date as care changed. Thank you for making mums final days as comfortable as possible."

"My sister was looked after at Abberton Manor for the last three months of her life, following a terminal cancer diagnosis. She always felt well looked after by the caring and supportive staff who took a really interest in her. She was treated with respect and dignity and always found the staff friendly and willing to chat. She always said that it felt like home. The staff at the home were also always ready to help us too, the family and to take time to talk to us. We found the whole atmosphere relaxed and friendly."

"We were fortunate enough to get our Dad a place at the Lawns for some much needed Respite care, this was all done with little notice for all involved. The Team at the Lawns made it happen and the staff were very warm & welcoming. They had an efficient caring and nursing team whom Dad grew very fond of, we felt he was well looked after and incredibly safe in their care during this time. As family members, we were fully encouraged to be involved and informed in all decisions and we were also well looked after during dad's stay. There is a very happy content buzz about this nursing home from both residents and staff.

"Our dad was only at Newstead for 4 weeks as he didn't settle at the first care home. We didn't know that dad would need end of life care so quickly. It was a real blessing that Newstead was there for him. I cannot praise all the staff highly enough. From the minute dad arrived they went out of their way to make us all feel welcome and valued. Their absolute professionalism, expertise and sensitivity in caring for him in his last days was overwhelming. I was able to spend precious moments with Dad as a daughter, not his carer - I cannot thank them enough for their love and support. The manager's door was always open and the nurses always available for consultations. The carers also knew our names and were always around to offer help if needed. The impressive management imparted a ethos of respect and care for their loyal staff - enabling them to work efficiently and compassionately. The Doctor was outstanding too! The whole package gets 10/ 10. Should be a flagship carehome!"

"During a very difficult period for our family, The Lawns Nursing Home in Kempsey became a true sanctuary for my father over the course of three months while he was extremely unwell. The level of care, compassion, and professionalism shown by every member of staff - from carers and nurses to the management team - was nothing short of exceptional. From the very first day, the team treated my father with dignity, patience, and warmth. They took the time to understand his needs, communicate clearly with our family, and ensure that he was not only safe and comfortable, but genuinely cared for. Their attention to detail, responsiveness to medical issues, and consistent emotional support made an enormous difference to his well-being - and to our peace of mind. What truly stood out was the genuine kindness and dedication that permeated every interaction. The staff went above and beyond, always with a smile and a kind word. Simply amazing people!
