Congratulations Karen Rayner

Karen has celebrated 25 years at Abberton! It was wonderful to celebrate this milestone achievement. She received some lovely comments and card from families of residents she has cared for over the years. What a super star!

Thank you to Patrick for driving our minibus

It is brilliant to be able to get out and about with residents. Patrick has made this possible by driving our minibus. We have had some really special trips to the seaside this summer. Brightlingsea is a huge favourite for fish and chips and icecream. Also, visits to Mersea Island. Patrick always has a smile and a joke for residents.

To Langenhoe Primary School

We have forged such a special bond with the children from Langenhoe Primary. They are part of the FaNs Network, which help to involve the local community with nursing homes.

The children at Langenhoe have been challenging our residents to Quiz Competitions. Always lots of fun and laughter. The Quizes have always been a close call, but for their last quiz the children triumphed!

Thank you for bringing so many smiles. Also congratulations, as the children won The FaNs Club of the Year at the Essex Awards 2019 for their support of Abberton Manor.

We are delighted that this relationship will continue. We look forward to welcoming a new group of children from Langenhoe to our home.

Our team have kept everyone cool, hydrated and entertained throughout the summer. From giant inflatables, to giant paddling pools to giant cakes. There has been a lot of fun this summer. These pictures say it all!
