In Mollie the Campervan

Last summer, one of our team bought her beloved Campervan to work. Our residents loved re-living the nostalgia of the 1960’s and camping holidays. Mollie the Campervan conjured many happy memories. And so an idea came to us – lets go on a roadtrip (of sorts!) in Mollie and have a European adventure with our residents.

Mollie the Campervan

First stop – France

As our residents are unable to travel, we decided to bring the countries to them! We started our adventure in France, sharing holiday memories. There were carafes of vino, French baguettes and cheese. A few stripey jumpers and berets too!

Allo Allo!
First stop Paris
Pain, vin and boursin!

Next Stop – Germany for Christmas

The twinkling Christmas markets and smells of oranges, cinnamon and Christmas spices. Gingerbread and candy canes. And two of our residents were delighted to dress up as St Nick.

Father Christmas

Romance in Italy

What better way to celebrate St Valentine’s Day than a trip to Rome, where St Valentine is said to be from. We sampled traditional Italian cuisine, wine, breads, pastas and sweets. Residents made heart shaped pizzas for tea. We danced to Italian music, walked in the sunshine and arranged beautiful flowers.

Love, love, love!

Romanian Day

One of our team is from Romania, so Mollie had to stop here on the European adventure. We enjoyed traditional Romanian cuisine and learnt the traditional Romanian game of Fire and Water. It was a very merry afternoon, especially when the cocktail trolley came out!

Cocktail Hour at Astley!

St Patrick’s Day in Ireland

What better way to celebrate St Patrick’s day than a trip to Ireland in Mollie the Campervan. We had some delicious Irish food and also baileys, Guinness and wine. It was great fun dancing the Irish jig to Irish folk music!

Happy St Patrick’s day

Watch this space for our next venture!
