As our bulbs in the Newstead garden are beginning to sprout, we look forward to Spring and lots of exciting Events in the diary.
More regular Events and activities
Tim and Vanda, our activities co-ordinators do a fantastic job, keeping our residents happy, active and entertained. There is never a dull moment.
There are daily activities such as craft workshops, film afternoons and puzzling, jigsaws and crosswords to exercise the mind. Tim also has regular fitness sessions with our residents, which are group sessions such a ball throwing and pilates. The stretching exercises in pilates, often using elasticated bands to give tension and support, are all chair based. These sessions are great to improve circulation, maintain strength, co-ordination and balance. They are always very well received and we have a lot of laughs.
Now Spring is coming and there is a bit of warmth in the sun, we are looking forward to getting outside again into our fabulous gardens. Some of our residents are very green fingered and container planting and our veggie patch are very much enjoyed. It is lovely for everyone to reap the rewards of their Springtime endeavours and eat home grown veg through the summer months.
Aside from the regular daily activities, Tim and Vanda book event highlights. Something a bit special for everyone to really look forward to. This Spring is no exception.
