There have been so many Eastertime activities at Astley Hall. As always, our super creative activities co-ordinator, Jayne made sure everyone had an egg-cellent time!
Our Eastertime church service
Our Easter service was a particularly special occasion. Residents helped arrange spring flowers to adorn our church lounge. They also created a fabulous Easter garden.
Nick and Ann from Astley Church, very kindly joined us to conduct our Easter service. Family and friends joined us and stayed for tea. It was wonderful to hear the generations sing traditional hymns together. It was also an opportunity for some of our residents to take communion.
Hosting our residents’ families is always a great pleasure for us.There is sheer delight on our residents’ faces when their grandchildren visit. Such special moments.
Melody Music
After the Easter weekend, the fun continued with a Melody Music therapy session. Our residents loved this session which had Easter themed songs and poems. Everyone got involved singing, dancing and playing musical instruments.
There is most definitely an upbeat, happy vibe at Astley Hall. Thank you to Jayne for all your hard work.
