Christmas festivities: Keeping it traditional
We love all the Christmas festivities at Astley. We marked the start of December by putting up our Christmas tree in the main hall. It is decorated with traditional red and gold and looks fantastic against the wood panelling. It was lots of fun getting out the baubles and tinsel and decorating the tree. A much admired sight greeting residents families.
We also kicked off festivities with a traditional turkey lunch with all the trimmings at The Mitre Oak. This was, of course, rounded off with Christmas pudding and brandy butter. Thank you to everyone there for looking after us so well. We were all so full, we rolled ho..ho..home!
