Our team and residents have all supported each other through the coronavirus lockdown and have been super stars! Most recently, we celebrated our residents’ tenacity in dealing with the challenges presented by the year in our Night of the Stars.

Our special Night of the Stars evening

Our exceptional team really went the extra mile to create an evening of fine dining.

The chef was our very own home manager Roddy, who planned, prepared and cooked all the food.

The menu

Chilled tomato soup with cherry tomato and tabasco granita, micro brioche croutons and a basil and coriander dressing.

Chicken liver and Grand Manier pate with Melba toast.

Petit Fillet Rob Roy beef with haggis, served with a garlic crouton and a whisky shallot sauce. Ginger and honey carrots and hassleback potatoes.

Tiramisu.

The added extras

Our administrator Charmaine arranged the floral table-centres and laid up for silver service dining. She sourced gorgeous table runners and the theme of blue and gold matched a starry night. She even made embossed menus for the occasion.

The memories of a night of the stars

Music welcomed residents into the dining room and there was an amuse-bouche to tempt the appetite. Our ladies and gents all took extra time to get dressed up for the evening. A lovely excuse for party frocks and finery.

It was such a wonderful evening. Our residents loved the food and felt so treated. You can see from the photos below just how delighted everyone was. We shared photos on our Facebook page for families to see.

It was such a memorable evening. Well done to the team for pulling out all the stops.
