At Astley Hall, we are delighted to have Adele’s music therapy as a new monthly activity for our residents.
Adele has a beautiful operatic singing voice and sang some of the classics for our residents. Her singing brought tears to many eyes. The power of music is well known in dementia care because it can soothe and stimulate the mind. Music can even evoke long forgotten memories.
Everyone was encouraged to sing along. Adele also brought lots of musical instruments which ensured maximum participation.
It was a wonderful afternoon, thoroughly enjoyed by all our staff and residents. We are very much looking forward to welcoming Adele back next month.
