We do live in a lovely corner of the world and there are many reasons for celebration. From our gardens waking up from winter, full of bobbing sunny daffodils, to the vaccination roll out and welcoming back visitors. And birthdays a-plenty!
Valentine’s Day celebration
Love was in the air at Abberton. Residents created a beautiful rose and heart montage and thought about what and who they love. A craft project is a lovely time to chat together and share memories about loved ones. All the more poignant this year being apart from families. It’s also lovely to hear about loved hobbies like gardening, music and poetry. What makes each resident happy.
Mother’s Day
‘Of all the special joys in life, the big ones and the small, a mothers love and tenderness is the greatest of them all’.
We spent the morning, reading one another Mother’s Day poems and admiring the many beautiful flowers delivered. So much well deserved love and appreciation.
Birthday celebrations
Happy birthday to our lovely Patrica. We celebrated with lots of music and a hand baked cake. Patrica never fails to make us all laugh and smile. Pat had a lovely day, celebrating a special birthday.
Happy birthday to our lovely Doreen. We celebrated Doreen’s 80 years young with lots of laughter, cake and singing along to ‘Mama Mia’!
