We had a beautiful sunny day for our annual summer fete. Such a relief, as 24 hours earlier it was raining! And our staff and some special guests, certainly brought the magic.

Thank you to our staff who brought all sorts of multicultural food. There was Michaela with her Hungarian Goulash, Jincy with her chicken biryani, Shannon with hot dogs and Julie with strawberry cream teas. Amazing aromas wafted around the fete and no-one went home hungry.
Thank you to Luke from Wye Valley Falconry, who brought his magnificent birds of prey. There was an opportunity to handle the birds. It was very exciting to experience these birds so close up. Luke was very informative and every generation loved this magical experience.

EXSPELLIARMUS!! Our very own Harry Potter, Kiegan performed magic tricks at the fete. He is well known around Hereford for his magic tricks involving coins, cards, watches and jewellery. Even watching really up close and studying hard, we have no idea how he did them! A worthy member of the Magic Circle!
We also had at our fete; archery, a bottle stall, tombola, craft stalls, cake stalls and a raffle. So much effort went into the day, but all worthwhile as our residents, staff and their families all had a fabulous time.
Thank you also to the local companies and businesses who supported us by giving raffle prizes. All funds raised from the event go to the Residents Fund, which is solely to fund events and activities to enhance the well-being of our residents.
