Visiting the seaside
Mersea Island is a favourite of ours and we take residents there as often as possible. https://www.visitmerseaisland.co.uk/
It is lovely to get out and about for an adventure on our minibus, to breathe in the sea air and enjoy ice creams on the prom. Thank you to Patrick for driving the minibus.
Beach huts line the Victoria Esplanade area of the beach with the colourful huts furthest East. We always enjoy a walk along here. Everyone has their favourite beach hut and a stop at the cafe is a must. We had fish and chips this time – what could be better!
Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside!
Enjoying our gardens
Our activities team have been making sure that residents get out into our beautiful gardens. One recent highlight was the Summer Solstice Picnic. It was a particularly hot day but residents could cool off with lots of mocktails under the straw canopies and our gazebos. All were decorated with beach inflatables and buckets and spades and lots of families visited for the picnic.
