Easter themed activities
Here at Newstead we’ve had an egg-cellent Easter with plenty of themed activities.
Some of us had lots of fun creating bonnets for an Easter bonnet competition. We also spent a day decorating hard boiled eggs. Some of our staff got involved too – how egg-citing!
The decorated eggs were ready for our egg roll race on Saturday. This is a Newstead tradition. We lined up the eggs in our car park with our residents outside watching. A ruler marked the start line to ensure all entries set off at the same time. No yolk – it was an egg-citing moment when the winning egg was announced!
The Easter bunny visited us on Sunday leaving both residents and staff chocolate eggs.
Throughout the weekend , we ran a raffle. Some residents were delighted winners! If you brought raffle tickets, please do visit us and check if you’ve won – we still have a few prizes waiting to be collected.
From our Newstead family, we hope you had a cracking Eastertime too!
