Celebrating Harvest Festival
Harvest Festival was very much a part of our residents childhood memories. They recall church services, hymns sung and celebrating the bounty of fruit and veg.
Our residents have this week enjoyed a lovely crafting session creating salt dough wreaths. They plaited the wreaths and then decorated them with moulded fruit and vegetables. We then painted them. Much fun was had and memories shared. It was a lovely group activity. We find art sessions like this are often the time when memories spring to mind and the conversation is always relaxed. Residents natter away whist being busy with their crafting.
