At Heritage Manor we have developed a Behaviour Framework which all staff members commit to.
Having the right values and behaviours is fundamental to the provision of care. The key attributes are openness, trust, integrity and respect, both for our residents and each other.
Shared values and behaviours help us all to work together and to all move in the same direction. It also helps to create an environment that we all want to work in. It follows then that we need everyone to understand what is expected from them. The Behaviour Framework stems from this.
Behaviours are what we see and do, and are part of all our interactions. Each behaviour in the framework is an ‘I’ statement so that we can all relate to what is required. These are used to help to recruit the right people to join our team. They are also used to discuss performance in supervisions so that everyone clearly understands how to be the best in their role, and to assist in identifying gaps in training.
These behaviours relate back to the CQC requirements, in helping to provide high quality care and consistent performance. Where everyone is committed to the same values and behaviours, it means we are all mutually responsible for creating a great place to work, providing great care for our residents and keeping our standards of practice high.
We have many examples across our group of people going the extra mile to bring extra happiness into our residents’ lives, and this is reflected both in the feedback we receive from friends and families, and in the regulatory inspections that we receive.
Please ask our HR Manager Pippa if you would like to read our Behaviour Framework.
