As with the rest of the nation, our garden is looking parched, but thanks to our residents’ watering can endeavours, the pots they planted earlier in the summer are in full bloom. Terry is outside most mornings when it is slightly cooler helping with the watering and his hard work has been rewarded –his pink stargazer lily is much admired.
Activities have been under our shady awning or inside to beat the heat. Often one thing leads to another here; residents on one occasion were painting flower pots, which turned into them face painting the team! The giggling from residents was wonderful to hear and we are getting some proper face paints in so they can do this again. We have also made sun catchers using old CDs and residents enjoy playing balloon games with pool noodles and get quite competitive playing skittles!

There has been musical entertainment with singing and dancing to Mamma Mia and Ian James brought the house down with his fabulous rendition of Sweet Caroline - so perfectly timed after the tremendous Football World Cup!

The Good Day Farm visited, back by popular demand, with a huge array of animals including their kid goat, sheep, chickens and a tortoise. With it being the school holiday, lots of our residents families brought their little ones along, so it was a lovely day for all generations.

Give us a wave if you spot us out and about in Hope! She is our new wheelchair enabled minibus. One of our first trips out was to Signs Express (Worcester) and thank you to their team for emblazoning Hope with our home logo.
This September we start our autumn programme of activities and we are looking forward to meeting the new cohort of students from Kempsey Primary School and King’s College Sixth Form in their Autumn terms.
