After many requests from our residents, we scheduled the date for our Pop Up Clothes Shop event and sent out a request for donations on our Facebook page. Thank you to everyone who donated such lovely items. Residents loved a browse and a shop. All funds raised have been put towards our Residents Fund.
We have enjoyed lots of musical entertainment this Spring. Ian James is a regular favourite here, who has us all rock and rolling. The rainy weather has often coincided with our music sessions. Kim the Entertainer helped us sing away all the rain and bring out the sunshine. And we all agreed that the hail storm added a beautiful ambience to our relaxing morning with the fabulous pianist Ewan.

Thank you to Corrine for playing cello during our Mother’s Day afternoon tea. It made the day all the more special and the scones, home baked by our kitchen team were delicious. Singer Jemma Tranter was also on hand for our St Patricks Day celebration. Lots of laughs, fun, Guinness and Irish blessings.
Thank you to Sarah for bringing in Peggy, her 1956 Ford Zephyr. Peggy is 70 years old, so we had a little party and Sarah shared many memories of their travels far and wide. It was a super treat for our car enthusiast residents, who shared their motoring memories. There were smiles all round.

We have been getting outside as much as possible to soak up the spring sunshine. Our green fingered residents have potted up sunflowers and also spring hanging baskets. We had a trip down memory lane with our lovely Martha, with an afternoon out on the mini bus. We drove down the country lanes, admiring the spring flowers and trying to spot all the lambs in the fields. We stopped at a church where Martha really wanted to go. She reminisced about out all the different churches she’d seen and visited over the years. It was a truly lovely afternoon.
And then it was Easter. We were delighted to celebrate all things Easter with the Debutot children. You can imagine the squeals of delight when the Easter bunny popped by to give out lots of scrummy chocolate eggs! Our bakers made Easter cupcake nests in preparation for the Easter weekend, when we had lots of visits from families and enjoyed a fabulous roast lunch.
