Christmas time at The Lawns

So much fun at Christmas time at The Lawns. Thank you to our staffing team for always going the extra mile to bring happiness to our residents. So much has been going on. Here are a few snippets and LOTS of photos.

We kicked off December decking our halls and filling our home with the delicious smells of home baked mince pies. We also had a fun baking competition making gingerbread trains! The Malvern Ukulele Band brought festive entertainment. Residents had a wonderfully nostalgic afternoon making snow globes. Just wonderful to have a shared craft and for staff to hear about Christmases gone by. Lots of old traditions being celebrated and a few new ones - like the naughty elf!

We are having a fundraiser Christmas raffle for Save the Children Fund, tickets to be drawn on New Year's Eve. Everyone looked fabulous in their jumpers on Christmas Jumper Day. Toasty warm too for our winter Wednesday walks, with festive hats and decorated wheelchairs and walkers. Lovely to get hoots from drivers going by and shouts of Merry Christmas!

There was Christmas quizzing and Christmas karaoke. Mulled wine, Baileys, mince pies and carolling. And accompanied by The Kings School students and the Kempsey Primary children, events have been extra special.

Christmas pampering at the hair salon and getting nails done for our festive photo shoot. Lovely to get some photos of residents for families to treasure as Christmas gifts. And on the big day itself, so much love in our home, unwrapping presents together, celebrating Christmas and enjoying a fabulous turkey lunch.

And we still have panto to go, "Oh Yes we do!" and our New Year celebrations.

We do hope you have all had a very happy Christmas and best wishes for 2026!
