An Autumn update
We have been continuing our objective to access fresh air and nature. What better than with a four legged friend! Lovely to have Skye over for a dog walk and to also collect autumnal treasures to share with residents at home. We have also had visits from other furry friends, Lola and Cosmo and on World Animal Day, we looked back on all our animal events over the year. It was agreed that “Animals are such agreeable friends - they ask no questions; they pass no criticisms.”

There has been live music at home with both JDR and Kim, The Entertainer. Singing, dancing and toe-tapping all round and so uplifting.
There have been birthday celebrations for Irene and Vera, who celebrated her 95th birthday.
David from G-Fitness has been visiting for fitness sessions to put us through our paces, followed by a lovely bit of armchair yoga.
And there have been great times, great pints & even better company with our friends at The Running Horse. Wonderful lunches and a favourite pub of our residents.
We celebrated the diverse cultures of our staff, residents and friends at our Summerdyne Culture Day. A fabulous day of singing and dancing.

The Summerdyne 1950's Room!
After months of revamping and decorating, we have completed our 1950's room. We are so grateful to Glad's Home for helping us find the perfect chairs to match the room. A massive thank you to everyone who has been involved in the project and to everyone who donated. We will continue to add to our little time capsule but for now we are open for business!!
