We are delighted to say that Astley Hall scores 10 out of 10 on www.carehome.co.uk based on reviews.
One review from a resident’s daughter says “From the 1st meeting to entry and on-going care, the staff have gone above and beyond to make it homely and an absolute pleasure to visit. Care plans are set for the individual's needs and I have no worries about the care, both medical and personal, as it's all of very high standards. The property is listed and in lovely grounds making a calm and peaceful environment for all residents and visitors. I would definitely recommend Astley Care Home for anyone looking for residential or respite care.”
Our team are described as “kind, assertive and very professional”, “so kind, warm, thoughtful and caring”. The “food is very good” and “lovely to have freshly home cooked meals”.
Congratulations to our home manager Cindy and all her team at Astley, from nurses to carers, lifestyle and wellbeing, chefs, housekeeping and maintenance and administration. It is wonderful for them to have their dedication recognised with these reviews and top score.

We have been relaxing into Autumn enjoying the little things in life. Residents have been getting back into hobbies and getting out into the fresh air for walks to admire the autumn colours. The sunsets have been stunning.
Halloween crafts are in full swing. We have been painting different pumpkin pictures to make our own bunting ready for our Halloween party. Melissa Hollick is coming in to entertain us and we can’t wait to see everyone’s Halloween costumes.
For Bonfire Night, we are baking cakes, putting some indoor sparklers on the top, and introducing residents to popping candy! We shall be watching a virtual firework display.
We are visiting Astley Church early November to see the poppy display we have been helping create. On the 11th Remembrance Day, we are having a Church service at home to remember all those lost, but never forgotten. In the afternoon, we are having a singalong with some wartime classics, sharing stories and memories.
Kim visited this October and is coming back on 14th November. He gets everyone singing and dancing along and puts smiles on everyone’s faces.
For World Hello Day, we are sending cards and messages to families and we are welcoming back the Debutot children on the 26th,for puppet fun and the bubble machine!
Then, it’s time for everything festive! Christmas at Astley is always so magical.
We are welcoming new admissions and do appreciate that Christmas can be a lonely or overwhelming time for some people. Admissions can be for long stay or respite care. Please give us a call for more information and pop over to have a look around.
