We have a knitting superstar at Newstead and we wanted to sing her praises.
IT’S A DOGS LIFE! But a very warm and cosy one at Batersea dogs home thanks to Joan Curtis. She has been busy knitting squares, which have been made into blankets and donated to the dogs home.
Joan recently received a letter of thanks and a picture of rescue dog William, clearly loving his new blanket. The letter read:
“Thank you so much for the wonderful gift you sent…..It is always such a pleasure to open parcels containing blankets that have been knitted with such love and care by a friend of Battersea. The blankets we recieve are an invaluable source of comfort for our dogs and cats. Dogs like William, pictured with your blanket, like to snuggle up in their bed. It’s so important for them to have something special they can take to their new forever home, giving them a sense of safety and security they need to help them settle in with their new family”
