We know that starting a new job can be daunting so we have just updated our New Starter Information. This is to ensure everyone has the information they need and support on hand, to help them settle into their new roles.
Our new starter induction
This is a “Hello and welcome to our team”. You will have a 3 day face to face induction to your role with our New Starter Co-ordinator, Marian. We have put together an Induction Booklet that you will be given to keep, so you can refer back to things whenever you want. This covers everything in The Care Certificate, along with other important information and mandatory training. You will run through the Induction Booklet with Marian, who can answer any of your questions or concerns.
When you start your role you will meet your peer mentor. This is someone familiar with the home, who can show you the ropes and help you settle into your role. Lots of our team have received Peer Mentor Training so they can best guide you through those first few days and weeks. Throughout your time at Heritage Manor, there is training. This can be mandatory or gives you the opportunity to progress your career. We have a dedicated staff trainer, Charlie, who you can read more about here: https://www.heritagemanor.co.uk/training/training-award-nomination/
Staff Handbook
Our Staff Handbook will also be provided to you at your Induction with Marian. It covers everything that you need to know: Important Policies and Procedures, to how to access your benefits. You can read more about our benefits here: https://www.heritagemanor.co.uk/training/benefits/
The Staff Handbook is also available on Herman, our online portal for all our staffing team. You will also be given login details for Herman at your Induction. It is a great way to stay connected with the Heritage Manor team. The App is easy to download to your phone so you have all information at your fingertips.
