Our Christmas Elves are orchestrating what is sure to be another fabulous festive event: Preparations are well underway at Summerdyne for our Christmas Fayre. The date is set for Saturday 7th December from 2.30 to 4.30pm. Pop along for a spot of shopping, some festive cheer and a mince pie or two!
All the fun of the Fayre
Residents craft
As always, our residents are keen to help with the Fayre. Our Knit and Natter Group make some gorgeous tree decorations and we have other craft items too this year. Their lovely Scandi Chic clay snowflakes look so effective. We all had a fun creative morning using clay to make snowflakes, Christmas trees and gingerbread men. Our ladies and gentlemen are naturals with a rolling pin and pastry cutters.
The raffle
Our raffle tickets are now on sale for £1:00 a strip. We have some fabulous prizes with more on their way. Tickets are available in our reception area or please ask a member of staff. Tickets will be drawn at the Fayre. Good luck!
Fundraising at the Fayre
As always all funds raised go directly to our residents fund. This enables us to provide all the little extras in our residents lives, from trips to toiletries, presents to productions.
We are putting the word out for donations. If you have any homemade jams or chutneys, they would be hugely appreciated. Or bottles for our tombola.
We had a lovely surprise when a lady knocked the door offering us a lovely latch rug. It was made by her father and she is coming back with a cushion too to donate.
Earlier this week we had a selection of cards and wrapping paper dropped off by Polly Gillespie ready to sell at our Fayre. But we couldn’t wait!!!!! Residents have chosen and started writing their cards. But don’t worry Polly will replenish the fabulous cards and they will be available for sale on the Fayre Day. If anyone else wants to buy some ask Sarah or Sharon and feel free to have a rummage.
Polly also sells online at https://www.flamingopaperie.co.uk/web/pollygillespie
We look forward to seeing you there!
